Lot # 48
Ivory Mutual Pool Dice - Lot includes three 1 5/16" ivory dice with rounded corners and the scrimshawed letters: P-A-C-E-R-S. These letters represent the first letter in the names of horses: Pilot, Arab, Canada, Eclipse, Rover and Saxton. The official name of the game played with these dice was Cubic Mutual Pool and can be dated back to pre-1900 gambling supply house catalogs. Complete sets are, arguably, the rarest of all collectible dice.
